I've recently gone to two of their sales. The first one I went the second day, & the prices had been significantly lowered. They were highish to begin with, because it was a luxe kind of estate. I got something I really wanted at a more than reasonable price. The second one I went to, I got there the first day because of the pictures, and wow, there was some lovely stuff there, and for what it was, I thought the prices were right. Not bargain basement, but right. I put in a bid on something I really wanted, & came back the next day & I got it! I just wish I'd had more money to spend at that great sale. I don't think they do the junker kind of sales which I really like, but that's ok by me. Oh, & I personally liked them.

My sister and I couldn't be happier with Vicky and her Beehive staff. They organized our mom's estate sale in Concord, and sold almost everything. We felt from start to finish we were in excellent hands. We could have held a sale ourselves but they did all the work, made more money than we would ever had and made the process simple and painless. I was totally fine with their cut... they did all the work and saved us from the crushing sad feelings of watching people riffle through our loved ones worldly treasures. They take TONS of photos, do a great amount of advertising and have quite a following. IT WAS A NO BRAINER hiring them. Beehive greatly exceeded our expectations and beat the other companies $8,000.00 expectations by over 20%. Our share was Almost $7,000.00 and they donated or hauled away the little that was left leaving us with a clean house.

Vicky and her staff are great. Professional and super available. We recently had to clear out a house, with an incredible amount of antiques and knick-knacks. Vicky handles the whole process smoothly, professionally, and quickly. She also was incredibly available, even on weekends, for questions and communications. Her and her crew sold the lot for nearly twice what other folks quoted us. All in all, couldn't be happier with the level of professionalism, speed, and expertise offered by beehive estate sales!

"OK... So, I've got my hot-buttons. I suppose everyone does, but I'm really big on reliability & integrity. Generally makes it a little hard to choose a lawyer or figure out how to vote, but I kind of expect people to do what they say they're going to do, even when I don't believe they will."
You know: Sometimes certain vendors promise to do something that you figure isn't probable because it's going to be really hard or not cost-effective. No one else will step up, so you kind of go with that and figure you'll have to handle it yourself or live without it getting done.
I made the mistake of talking with several Estate Sales organizations a few years ago. I found myself really put off by the ones who showed up and were only interested in how much sterling silver, jewelry & collectibles would be included. I needed to manage those things, but I also needed to efficiently clear out the furniture, kitchen wares, tools, personal belongings and other items in the house so I could prepare it for sale. I'd spent a lot of time organizing my family's belongings into separate rooms -- china & crystal with other glass- & dishware in the family room; furniture in the living room; electronics in the office; paintings & wall hangings in the spare bedroom; tools & travel gear in the garage -- trying to make it easy to host a sale. Many of the glorified garage sale pickers couldn't care less about that; they only wanted the high-priced stuff they figured I didn't know anything about.
Not Vicky & Barb. Of course, they show up when they said they would, and they view all of the belongings in the house with patience & understanding. I'm selling a lifetime's worth of my parents' belongings, and they get it that there's nothing here to criticize or belittle. I'm watching them inventory everything in their heads as they review it all, and they ask a couple of pertinent questions. Efficient. Friendly. Compassionate. When we're done, Vicky says they'll do it.
What will they do? They'll show up the Monday of the sale week and organize everything. They'll advertise the sale and bring prospects to the house. On Thursday, everything will be sold at the prices marked; Friday, they'll offer some discounts; Saturday, they'll accept offers. They don't work on Sundays, but on Monday, they'll invite the charities to come in & pick from what's not sold; after that, the haulers come in & clear the place out. By noon, the property will be empty, and I can go back to getting it ready to sell.
Vicky quotes me a rate, and I say, "Let's do it."
Due to the coronapocalypse, I'm a bit tentative. What if they're not able to get the crowds they need? What if the lock-downs & holidaze make estate sales unattractive? Vicky & Barb assure me: This is going to be a good sale. I'm not convinced that they'll actually get everything taken care of, but I figure if I need to make only three or four trips to the dump, then I'm doing a lot better than otherwise.
Monday of the sale week, the Beehive team shows up and (gently) shove me out the door. Vicky says, "We've got this." I need to drop something off on Wednesday, and I can't believe the work they've done! The entire house has been transformed magically into a multi-room show-room. Everything has a price tag, and everything is cleaned & displayed beautifully. I almost want to buy half the stuff myself. (The bride would've killed me.)
The following Monday, I return just at noon, and the haulers are pulling away. A little tentatively, I go inside, wondering how much clean-up I have to do.
Nothing. The place is empty. Spotless. There's a half-roll of toilet paper hanging on the spool in one of the bathrooms. Nothing else. Inside & out, everything is gone. Just as Vicky promised.
Several days later, I get an envelope in the mail. It has the key, receipts from the charities, and a check. The receipts are detailed & useful for tax purposes, and the check is for more than I'd expected. Zowie.
